talkforce Appoints New General Manager

Today talkforce welcomed a new General Manager to the team with the appointment of Joseph La Posta.

Joseph comes from the Australian Football League (AFL) NSW/ACT where he was a senior executive fulfilling the role as State Manager. Joseph was responsible for leading AFL NSW/ACT’s Commercial, Government Relations, Indigenous, Multicultural, Major Projects and Infrastructure portfolios throughout New South Wales and Canberra.

talkforce Managing Director, Christopher Whitnall said that the organisation was thrilled to welcome someone with Joseph’s leadership credentials and experience to their team. “We are delighted to be expanding our company and welcoming someone of Joseph’s calibre to our group.” Mr Whitnall said.

“Joseph will provide a respected and dynamic input to our organisation as we continue to grow our offices in Sydney and Melbourne to meet our expanding client base and their unique and diverse needs across Australia and South East Asia.”

“As a senior leader in our business, a component of Joseph’s role will include coaching and facilitation sessions with a focus on cultural competency and diversity,” Mr Whitnall said.

After eight years with AFL NSW / ACT, Joseph said that he was excited to be joining talkforce. “talkforce are a leading organisation who has consistently impressed with their organisational capacity building and innovative approach to facilitation, people development and communication.”

“The opportunities here are endless. I’m passionate about people development and can’t wait to engage with our clients,” Mr La Posta said.

The talkforce team consists of eleven employees and eight associates who are based across Sydney and Melbourne and deliver leadership, communication and people development solutions to a wide variety of clients.

Biography

  • Joseph worked at AFL NSW/ACT for over eight years, with six years on the executive and leadership team.
  • Joseph’s key areas of focus were leading the portfolios of Diversity, Government Relations, Major Projects, Infrastructure Development, Strategic Planning and Business Operations.
  • Joseph is Chairperson of Sport NSW, a role he has held since 2015 and has been a Director since 2011.
  • He is a member of the Reach Charity NSW Advisory Group.
  • Joseph has a background and qualifications in Town Planning with experience in both private consultancy and local government in Sydney and Melbourne.
  • Joseph is passionate about conscious consumerism and is a strong advocate for gender equality and workforce diversity.
